Cornerstone Valves

Cornerstone Valves

Cornerstone Valve is a U.S.-based manufacturer of custom-engineered ball valves designed for severe service conditions. Located near Houston, Texas, Cornerstone specializes in fit-for-purpose valve solutions for applications where standard products cannot meet operational requirements. All products are manufactured in America and certified to meet AIS, BAA, and BABA compliance standards. When project specifications demand precision engineering and proven reliability, Cornerstone delivers.

Engineered for Applications Where Standard Valves Fall Short

Standard catalog valves are not engineered to accommodate every operational variable. Cornerstone Valve addresses applications involving temperature extremes, corrosive media such as sulfuric acid, high-pressure service, and other conditions that exceed the capabilities of conventional products. Their engineering team collaborates directly with end users, maintenance teams,  and system designers to develop valves matched to specific process requirements.

Cornerstone’s latest innovation, the TE-4, is a one piece top entry ball valve that is in-line repairable through the bonnet using simple hand tools and a factory repair kit!  This valve is a game changer for drain isolation and other severe service valves that are welded in place and require frequent replacement due to degraded performance.  Why cut out a valve and weld a new one in its place when you could just rebuild a TE-4 inline in as little as 15 minutes?  As for longevity, Cornerstone stands behind the performance of the TE-4 with an almost unprecedented 60-month (5 Year) Zero-Leakage Guarantee.

Each Cornerstone valve undergoes comprehensive testing, cycling, and leakage verification before shipment. Full documentation, material traceability, and certification to applicable API, ISO, and ANSI standards are provided with every unit. With over three decades of manufacturing experience, including applications for the U.S. Navy, Cornerstone understands the operational and safety implications of valve performance in critical service.

Severe Service Testing and Custom Manufacturing

Cornerstone’s manufacturing and testing capabilities address a broad range of severe service parameters. Testing protocols include:

  • Hydrostatic testing to 30,000 psi
  • Nitrogen gas testing to 20,000 psi
  • Submerged nitrogen testing
  • Helium leak detection to 20,000 psi, including fugitive emissions testing
  • Cryogenic testing to -320°F
Valves engineered for operating conditions up to 1,650°F
  • Fire test certified to API 607

The Cornertone valve engineering team excels at providing custom ball valve solutions for non-standard sizes, pressure classes, materials, and end connections. Whether your application requires a reliable isolation valve capable of withstanding high temperatures and pressures, frequent cycling, or cryogenic conditions with tight shut-off or zero emission requirements, Cornerstone has a solution to your problem.

Industries Served From Power Plants to Aerospace

Cornerstone Valves are deployed across many applications in demanding industrial sectors. In power generation facilities and power plants, their valves provide flow control for steam systems, cooling circuits, and auxiliary processes. Oil and gas operations utilize Cornerstone products for upstream and midstream applications requiring high-integrity isolation and control. Refineries and chemical processors, including facilities handling sulfuric acid and other aggressive process media, specify Cornerstone for corrosion resistance and long service life.

Additional applications include LNG and cryogenic processing, mining and slurry transport, and aerospace and defense programs requiring strict U.S. origin compliance. From launch vehicle systems to continuous-duty industrial service, Cornerstone engineers valve solutions that deliver consistent results across extended operational cycles.
