GTC QMR JULY REVIEW
GTC QMR JULY REVIEW
July, 9th 2019 Quality Management Review
Roger-Talked about getting feedback from this team (QM) concerning the Technician Reference Manual-everyone will look at this and give thoughts on our next QMR meeting. This is perfect for training and gives everyone a common place to go to for our processes and technical references pertaining to Pressure Relief Valves. Adding to Level I for training and a reference study for Level II and III.
We will be adding an image of debris found in the valve to our PSV repair process.
Talked about coming up with a for real audit program that would focus on audit key points, the current one has a lot to be desired.QC Manual would have to changed, employee classification document is a joke as well.Hope to get some input from this team, Roger will bench mark to other GTC as well and get this ball rolling so we can have a legit process with meaning to it.
Roger mentioned a process’s for how we should get the findings of any audit to the technician. What?? Who??? GM’s, Shop Managers, Quality Managers and how do we know the technician received the notification or findings? , what was done to correct this or them? In the past it was overlooked and never presented to the technicians.Roger going directly to the technician hasn’t been working, feelings get hurt, and attitudes are directed to me even for looking.I’m here to train and help but a process needs to be put in place in order to avoid wrong messages. Some folks want you to tell them so they can get better and learn from their mistakes and others are like what the hell. This should come from someone that works close with each technician’s development at each location.
Kyle-Talked about having a process for all technicians’ qualifications before they go into the field. An onboarding checklist Kyle is going to submit a list so we start to proceed with this process. Bryan also mentioned to have one spot and this process must be repeatable every time.
Andrew talked about employee reviews-(GA hasn’t had any this year) others shops are done except for a few employees.Talked about this needs to be repeatable and done every year. (BE ABOUT THE PEOPLE) Kyle and several others mentioned that it needs to be done by key people involved in this process.Service Coordinator, people that are involved with the technicians on a daily basis, not somebody sitting behind a desk that has no clue what the technicians do on a daily basis. Roger mentioned since the Bryan Clower as President Movement “It’s about the people” so let’s be about the people and not talk about it.Have repeatable processes, have one spot for references. Etc.
GTC Level II still scheduled in Chattanooga July 23rd
C&K Level I still scheduled in Gastonia July 29th.
Shipping tank vents with weights-Yes or No, Jessie commented about the factory ships with cardboard on the seats. What is our Process? Roger will look into other GTC Centers and see what they do.
New Accu-Test on the way-Going to Gastonia, Josh mentioned that Cayce still has no ALD.We will be looking into one of the EVT going to Cayce, next Accu-Test as soon as we can get the funds needs to go to Cayce.(Accu-Test training will be a must know with two of them).
Adding Andrew Knox, Grayson Howard, Matt Worth and Dennis Reel to the QMR Meetings.
