Segmented Girth Gears

SEW Eurodrive manufactures smaller individual girth gear segments from austempered ductile iron (ADI) which gives them a higher tensile strength and greater pitch accuracy compared to “traditional” girth gear segments. Combined with an engineered lubrication system, ADI girth gears are easier to install and are practically wear free resulting in a lower overall cost of ownership while being extremely reliable.
