The Chalmers & Kubeck location in Lynchburg, Virginia is part of the C&K-South group and specializes in Limitorque® Valve Actuation Systems. Our skilled team designs, fabricates, and installs custom valve and actuation controls along with the mounting hardware that ties them together. The US Navy, maritime shipyards, water authorities, power producers, pulp and paper mills, and steel manufacturers all rely on this shop to keep their industrial equipment running. Like every C&K facility, Lynchburg is a Limitorque Blue Ribbon Authorized Service Center.

Our History in the Lynchburg Area

Chalmers & Kubeck has been repairing industrial machinery since 1950, and the Lynchburg branch carries that work into Central Virginia as part of C&K-South. The location sits on Wards Road in Rustburg, minutes from Lynchburg and within reach of the plants and mills across the region and the shipyards on the Virginia coast. Our branch manager earned a mechanical engineering degree from Virginia Tech and spent five years in the Limitorque linear actuation division before joining C&K, and that background shapes how the shop approaches actuator work today.

Our Services & Capabilities

The Lynchburg team handles actuator repair, industrial valve service, and the custom fabrication that goes with both. Work happens in our shop or at your facility, depending on what the equipment allows.

Limitorque Actuator Repair

We service the full Limitorque line, including SMB, L120, and MX/QX electric actuators. Our technicians rebuild actuator assemblies down to the gearing and limit switches, install service kits, replace worn actuator components, and calibrate torque and limit settings before a unit goes back in service.

Pow-R-Jac Equipment Service

C&K-VA specializes in Pow-R-Jac linear actuation and jacking equipment. We diagnose faulty actuator behavior, source replacement actuator parts, and rebuild units that most repair facilities are not set up to handle.

Custom Valve Adaptation and Mounting Hardware

Adapting an actuator to a valve is rarely a bolt-on job. We design and machine mounting hardware, stem nuts, and adaptation kits so the actuator and the industrial valve work as one control system, then test the assembly before it ships.

Preventative Maintenance Programs

A well-built industrial maintenance program catches wear before it becomes downtime. We build maintenance schedules around your valve population, perform electronic valve testing, and document torque and thrust readings so you can track equipment condition over time.
