    MOD 2000™ is the most advanced analog modulating device available using combined VFD (variable frequency drive) technology and solid state electronics. This device provides exact positioning, proportional to the error signal and without over-travel, by frequency ramp and reduction. The deadband is reestablished in direct proportion around the last position demand by close-and reestablish positioning technology.

    MOD 2000™ is specifically designed to replace ALL past generation Limitorque® Modutronic® products, eliminating board rebuilding and continued reliance on older technologies.

    MOD 2000™ functionsequally well with AC or DC motors (including Limitorque® Mod 10 DC units) from single phase or three phase power supplies.

    MOD 2000™ incorporates all conceivable options for analog operation and signal loss. Standard features include high accuracy 4-20 mADC output, monitor relay output, transient protection on current signals and line voltages, and 115 VAC power supply for control circuits.

     Highlights

    • The MOD 2000™ allows for standardization on one electronic analog positioner when eliminating a variety of older actuation technologies, resulting in reduced spare parts inventories and simplified training of technicians

    • The simplicity of installation of the MOD 2000™ allows for both shop and field retrofits. Kits with boards, wiring harnesses, and instructions are provided. Skilled field service technicians and strong technical support are readily available, allowing for minimal process interruption.

    • The MOD 2000™ replaces most existing technologies that are no longer available or that have extremely long deliveries. The MOD 2000™ is usually available from stock and can be shipped immediately.

    • The MOD 2000™ funtions equally well with either AC or DC motors, eliminating the need to replace the motor on a existing actuator when retrofitting.

    • The use of a 3-phase motor to meet single-phase applications eliminates the need for start capacitors and start relays. This greatly increases reliability and mean time between failures.

    • The choice of fail-to-preset selection, lock-in-last-position, or fail-to-close options on loss of signal gives flexibility to conform to individual safety and / or process requirements.

    • The .5% accuracy of the MOD 2000™ provides significantly tighter process control that equals production savings..

    • Built-in monitor relays allow prompt trouble-shooting of actuator problems and provide annunciation (selector switch in"local" position, selector switch in "stop" position, loss of reference signal) of actuator information to the control room.

    • The built in 4-20 mA output provides actuator position feedback from a single modulation board.
